The Right to Vote: The 15th Amendment

The 15th Amendment becomes law on March 30, 1870. This amendment prevents states from interfering in any male citizen's federally guaranteed right to vote. As with the 14th Amendment, the government won't put any real muscle behind this amendment for about 90 years.
